| Latin America wins World Series TitleThe ASOFEM Little League Senior Softball All Stars made 6 errors, and gave up 2 runs, but with 2 runners on base in the bottom of the 7th, Annette Cruz slaped a grounder to 2nd base that scored Gloria Alvarez for the winning run.
Alvarez got to first on a bloop single to lead off the inning, then moved to second on Nemesis Vega's walk. Quetsy Colon sacrificed both to 2nd and 3rd, and Alvarez scooted home on the ground ball.
Shayna Parella doubled for East, and Arielle Bruno singled and scored. Kylie Krisstovich kept Latin America off the scoreboard for 3 innings, and Leanne Miller pitched out of trouble several times. The two East pitchers combined for 7 strikeouts, but Nemesis Vega struck out 5, and only allowed the two runs to get the win.

| Once Again - THANK YOUThe teams are finally home (most of them), but the memories will live on for years, maybe forever.
The 2008 Little League Senior Softball World Series is history, and the event just wouldn't happen unless the 100+ volunteers all pitched in to make the 27, 7 Inning softball games possible.
Not only does it take game tournament directors, grounds crew and umpires, it takes house mothers, bus drivers, scorebook keepers, announcers, scoreboard operators, security, concession stand workers, people to operate the information booth, the souvenir stand workers, the people that order supplies, count the money, coordinate the Tuesday party, serve dinner each night and provide security at the housing and the ball park.
We'd be hard pressed to actually name everyone involved, we can't even get everyone together for a picture, but the folks that work know who they are, and know that the Girls appreciate the efforts, and those charged with running this event do too.
The Senior Softball World Series just wouldn't happen unless YOU helped, and we thank you.
